The Days of Our Lives recap for April 13-17, 2020, features many of the town’s most popular heroines having a no-good, very bad week.
According to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), this past week was like, “Waking up from the most beautiful dream only to realize that you’re in a nightmare.” And we’re sure that’s a sentiment shared by Kayla Brady and her former sister-in-law, Hope (Kristian Alfonso).
For Sarah, what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life was marred by the revelation that her would-be groom perpetrated a baby switch. She angrily took him to task for his deception, refused his suggestion that they take the baby and run, and then promptly took the baby and ran.
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) succeeded it helping Steve (Stephen Nichols) best his amnesia – then she had to deliver the one-two punch that his sister was dead and during the time his body had been overtaken by a supervillain. Plus, they were divorced. Oh, and she was now dating Justin (Wally Kurth).
Steve mourned, he stewed, and he became resolute in his desire to win back his Sweetness. And neither a heartfelt plea from Sonny (Freddie Smith) nor hearing how his missus and Justin bonded over jazz could persuade him.
As for Hope, well she just can’t stop remembering all the bad, bad things that Princess Gina did. There was her shoving Jennifer off a balcony, her plan to permanently silence Jen and Abigail (Kate Mansi), and her railroading of the innocent – and still VERY pissed off – Eve. Will she ever be able to make up for her crimes?
Marlena: “No, that can’t be. Orpheus is dead. Please don’t say that he’s back…that can’t be true…Orpheus was shot. He was pronounced dead.” Yes, he was. And so was, Will (Chandler Massey), EJ (James Scott), Vivian (Louise Sorel), Tony (Thaao Penghlis), John (Drake Hogestyn)… Heck, even MARLENA was declared dead…quite a few times in fact!
Now that Evan (Brock Kelly) has experienced the sensation of being strangled – thanks for that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) – will he still insist that his act of wrapping Jordan’s (Chrishell Stause) scarf around her neck and choking her till she was dead was an “accident?”
Considering the fact that Steve had been living as Stefano for about two years and he had no way of knowing that the rumors of Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) death had been greatly exaggerated – why didn’t he have more a visceral reaction to seeing a “ghost” waltz into his hospital room? Are we to assume that Kayla explained the situation off-screen.
Correct us if we’re wrong, but wasn’t it explained (at least twice) that the gas SteVano had pumped into the warehouse was NOT poisonous and merely a concoction designed to render Justin, Kayla, and John unconscious. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
