The Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, May 29, 2020, features Steve wallowing, Justin on cloud nine, the baby swappers in the hot seat, and Sami blindsiding Eric. The summer of love (and hate) is moving fast and no one is safe from life-altering events.
There was quite a scene at the hospital between John (Drake Hogestyn) and Victor (John Aniston). John laid into the Kiriakis King like never before. Well, until the baddie went into distress. John reluctantly went to get Kayla.
As for Kayla, she was in her office with Steve. He was about to tell her he wanted her back before John interrupted his heartfelt plea. So, instead of telling Kayla, he opened up to his buddy instead. Yes, he loves Kayla and will do whatever it takes to move his love.
Steve better hurry up, though. Justin (Wally Kurth) made his peace with Adrienne and then had a heart to heart with Sonny (Freddie Smith). They talked about him proposing and Sonny was all for it.
Justin made his way to the hospital and proposed to Kayla right there on the spot. She was all smiles seeing him get down on one knee. Poor Steve was crushed as he watched from the sidelines.
Sonny went home in a great mood and decided it was high time he and Will (Chandler Massey) expand their future. He announced he was ready to become a daddy again.
Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) had a bad day. He went to confront Brady (Eric Martsolf) but got schooled instead. Brady laid everything out and blamed Xander and Victor for Kristen’s spiral and Haley’s death. They’re just lucky she has her baby now and gets to be a mom.
To make matters worse for Xander, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) arrived and put on quite a show. She took a page out of Nicole’s book and pretended she and Brady were together.
Speaking of Nicole, she and Eric (Greg Vaughan) were quite thrilled with their engagement and spread the news all over town. Everyone they came across was happy for them too. However, Sami (Alison Sweeney) wasn’t keen. She sent Eric a scathing text about marrying her arch enemy. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
