The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, January 5, 2021, features Angelo dropping a bomb, Roman throwing a fit, and Gwen suffering Abigail’s wrath.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve’s (Stephan Nichols) trip to see Angelo (Angelo Tiffe) went quite differently than expected. Not only did Angelo clear his name (he was in jail at the time of the attack), but there was another person around with a much closer connection to Tripp. The mobster told the men about Ava’s (Tamara Braun) other son, Charlie. It was quite the bombshell.
Allie Sensed Danger
Speaking of Charlie (Mike Manning), he was at the pub praying Allie (Lindsay Arnold) did not put the pieces together. He felt the walls closing in when she became visibly uncomfortable around him. Something about him triggered her.
Allie ran off to see Marlena and sort through her feelings. Marlena explained triggers can come in all sorts of forms. Allie wondered if it was Charlie’s slight resemblance to Tripp that set her off. Later, Marlena replayed that part of the session and wondered too.
Back at the pub, he and Claire (Isabel Durant) tried to plan out their evening. She asked about chilling out at his house but he outright said no. He was not quite ready for that, he said.

Tripp Tried To Explain Himself
Tripp (Lucas Adams) got quite the lecture from Roman (Josh Taylor) while hanging his mom’s poster. Roman told him to take it down. He was happy Ava was gone and wished Tripp would too. Kayla showed up right when things were getting really ugly.
As for Tripp, he went for a stroll through the park where Allie overheard him on the phone trying to get an update.
Abigail Finally Saw Through Gwen
Fireworks exploded at the DiMera mansion when Gwen (Emily O’Brien) fully admitted to falsifying an affair between Abby (Marci Miller) and Jake (Brandon Barash). She claimed she did it because she was afraid of Jake but Abigail did not buy her excuse.
Things became more heated when Gwen admitted to spending the night with Chad (Billy Flynn). She said she slept in a chair but Abigail lost it anyway. Between the lies, the secret folder, and cozying up to her hubby, Abby had enough. She told Gwen to pack her bags and leave.
Gwen was not having it, though. As soon as Abigail left the room she blackmailed Chad. Either she stays or their secret comes out. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
