The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, May 23 features a day of lies, manipulations, and over-the-top schemes. It was the day of a little girl’s funeral and tensions were running high.
25 Years to Life
Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Doug (Bill Hayes) celebrated a beautiful milestone. The couple has been married (this time) for 25 years. Their life together hasn’t been perfect but it’s been everything they could ever want. They quietly spent a few moments alone, exchanged gifts, and then turned the day over to remembering Holly.
The Act of A Lifetime
“Nicole” (Arianne Zucker) did her duty and played the grieving mother at the funeral. However, suspicions were beginning to rise. Victor, for one, knew something was up, especially after hearing about Xander (Paul Telfer) being at her hotel room. He confronted Nicole at the wake and tempers flared!
It should come as no surprise Victor (John Aniston) came off as a bad guy – at least for now. Attacking the mother of an angel never ends well. But, he was not wrong something is very, very wrong.
Maggie continued to struggle. Holly’s death, Victor’s fibs, and Kate’s presence drove her down a hard road. She flipped out at the memorial, caused the scene of the year, and ran home to hit the bottle.
Rex Met Xander
Meanwhile, Xander paid the hospital a visit to change all the autopsy results. He had to make it look like the little girl’s body was Holly.
He suffered a close call when Rex came in the room just as he was leaving. It only took a few seconds for Rex to figure out who Xander was and confront him about sleeping with Sarah.
A Kiss Is Never Just A Kiss
Speaking of Sarah, she was off with Eric (Greg Vaughan). “Nicole” kicked him out of the funeral and demanded he leaves her alone forever. Sarah took him home, calmed him down, and they ended up making out on the couch.
Nicole and Brady also had quite a time kissing back at her hotel room. Brady is her end game and the timing was perfect.
There was one other couple heating up the screen, as well. Gabi (Camila Banus) called Stefan (Brandon Barash) home pretending to have an emergency. However, when he got there she was scantily clad and ready to play.
