The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, January 22, 2020, features two beautiful souls coming into the world and one leaving. Sarah and Kristen each came through trying and dramatic births while Adrienne’s family fell apart. It was the continuation of Mother’s Day with Brady and Kristen looking back on how it all went wrong.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
The scene on the side of the road was as bad as it could get. Adrienne (Judi Evans) was in bad shape, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) was rendered temporarily unconscious, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) was drunk behind the wheel, and Will (Chandler Massey) was beside himself thinking he was in the wrong. (Well, he was texting and driving, which is never a good thing.) He rushed to Adrienne’s car and did everything he could to save her and Sarah, including calling 9-1-1.
Oh, Maggie
Xander (Paul Telfer) was the first on the scene but he happened upon Maggie’s car first. She was passed out on the wheel with a near-empty bottle beside her. He realized the crash was Maggie’s fault and got her out of the car, hidden away, and called Victor (John Aniston) before he rushed to find Sarah.
The End of Adrienne
By the time he got to Adrienne’s car, the ambulance was there, she was fading, and Sarah was active labor. Will and JJ (Casey Moss) packed up Adrienne and Xander rushed Sarah to his car.
In a sad twist, Adrienne’s phone rang and Justin (Wally Kurth) was on the line wondering where his wife was. Will told him to rush to the hospital. He did with Sonny (Freddie Smith) by his side. They were worried sick and took a look back on the love couple’s love story.
These are the last moments of Adrienne’s life. She passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital. Kayla was the one who had to tell Justin and Sonny the horrific news.
The Babies Were Born
As for Sarah, she gave birth beside Xander’s car with his help. Baby Mickey was born and seemed to be doing well, at least at that moment.
Brady and Kristen’s little girl was also born. Kristen suffered a series of complications during her labor and delivery. The baby went into distress and Kristen passed out, so they were forced to rush the delivery.
When Kristen came around Brady broke the bad news. The baby was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. He refused to say whether their child made it. Kristen fell apart. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
