Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) feigned concern when Chad (Billy Flynn) kissed her. Are you sure about this? Aren’t you a happily married man? Chad thought he was happy but if his wife is cheating, so should he! Chad was too drunk to notice Gwen manipulated her way into bed with him.
After the deed was done and Chad was asleep, Gwen toasted herself for her victory. She was off to a great start ruining Abigail’s (Marci Miller) entire life. She couldn’t wait to tell Abigail about the affair.
The Walls Were Closing In
As for Abigail, she opened up to Anna (Leann Hunley) and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) about Chad’s suspicions. Where was he getting these ideas? Anna was sure it had something to do with Gwen. The nanny is always to blame! Has no one watched The Hand That Rocks The Cradle?

Lo and behold, Anna was right. She and Abigail found a file in the nanny’s room with clippings of the DiMera family going back for years and years. The woman is obsessed!
Kate Lost It
At the same time, Jake (Brandon Barash) broke the news to Kate (Lauren Koslow) that their secret was no longer a secret. Abigail knew and soon everyone else would too. Jake pushed her to go public before the rumor mill began turning. Kate refused. The two had a falling out ending in Jake walking away.
A Romantic Reunion
Meanwhile, Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Cady McClain) were all hearts and stars again. They went back to the Horton house for a little alone time and to officially ring in the New Year as husband and wife.
I’ve Got You
Back at the party, Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) proved he was not such a smart guy. He called his contact and talked way too much, way too loudly, and way too publicly about his money-laundering scheme. Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) overheard enough. Much to Philip’s surprise, Chloe also offered her support. She knows what it is like to get mixed up with the mob. She did murder the head of a cartel once, remember.
