The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, January 23, 2020, features the much-anticipated baby swap, a guilt-ridden confession, a massive coverup, and a deadly attack.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
The births of their daughters had Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Kristen full of joy. Both babies seemed healthy at first and were whisked away to the nursery to be checked over. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before the real baby Mickey took a turn for the worse. She died under right before Xander and Victor’s eyes when they tried to pay the little one a visit.
The Baby Mickey Saga Began
The men were beside themselves. They already agreed to let Will (Chandler Massey) continue to think he caused the accident to save Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) from a life in the slammer. But, this took that coverup to a whole new level.
They could never let her know she caused her own granddaughter’s death. The men decided to do the unthinkable and switch the babies.
Kristen eagerly awaited for Haley (Thia Megia) to bring her baby back and spun out when the nurse came back empty-handed. Haley tried to wait for the doctor to break the news but Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) wasn’t having it.
She chased Haley down and made her spill. Kristen spiraled out of control when Haley admitted her baby died and accidentally pushed her down the stairs.
Meanwhile, Xander took Baby Black to see her new mama. Sarah was none the wiser and Xander handed Sarah a baby belonging to Kristen.
Will: It’s All My Fault
Across the hall, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) took Justin (Wally Kurth) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) to say goodbye to Adrienne (Judi Evans). Emotions ran high and tears fell freely as they spent their last moment with her.
Meanwhile, back in the waiting room, the guilt overcame Will and he made a confession to JJ. He told him all about being on the phone, hearing Adrienne honking her horn, and then the accident shaking him up. He wasn’t just the one who called 911, he was the one responsible.
JJ tried to calm him by telling him Sarah said the car was black but Will’s is grey and dark enough to be mistaken for black. Plus, he was the only other car on the road, right? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
