It was New Years Eve in Salem and the year went out with a bang. Gabi hunted for her vandal, the Princess felt the pressure, and SteVano stepped up his game in a big way.
Kristen and Lani: Bad Nuns
The attack on Gabi Chic had Gabi (Camila Banus) flying off the handle. She pointed the finger at Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Kate Mansi) only to find out she was wrong. Eli (Lamon Archey) informed the group it was a nun and they all assumed it was Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) out for revenge.
A Woman Scorned
As for Kristen, she was still fuming over Nicole (Arianne Zucker) stealing her man and this time, Lani (Sal Stowers) couldn’t talk her down. She was ready to go on a rampage.

Kristen wasn’t wrong about Nicole’s intentions. The more Eric pushed her away, the closer she got to Brady. They even agreed to go to the NYE party together. Why not? It’s not like they have anything else going for them in the romance department. They headed off to the festivities arm in arm.
Party People
The who’s who of Salem came together at Julie’s place for a night they would never forget. Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) put all the secret admirer and Hope drama behind them and promised each other a night of romance. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t get their calm evening.
He’s Ba-ack (But Not Really)
SteVano (Stephen Nichols) and Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) discussed their secrets falling apart and decided action was needed. Hattie’s in the know so it’s only a matter of time before she slips up. Thankfully, Gina had an identity to rely on (even though she hated pretending to Hope and wanted to expose her true self). She suggested SteVano do the same and use the body he was given.
So, SteVano did just that. He and “Hope” dressed up and made their way to the party. They waited until seconds after the New Year’s countdown to make their move. They walked in the room and with SteVano donning a patch and boom, just like that, Steve was back (or so everyone thought). Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
