The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, July 20, 2020, features a day of trauma, drama, and wedding day jitters in Salem. Vivian is kinda dead, Ciara woke up sick, and Ben had a nightmare that rattled him to his core.
Vivian’s (Louise Sorel) death had different effects on different people. Gabi (Camila Banus) mourned, Jake (Brandon Barash) struggled to wrap his head about this twist, and Kate (Lauren Koslow) nearly skipped on her way to see the casket.
Gabi told Jake his mother was dead and it was all becoming way too much. He’s a secret twin, a soon-to-be a very rich man, and an orphan. Nevertheless, he showed up for the funeral to say goodbye.
Of course, this was all for nothing. Vivian faked the whole thing and once alone, Ivan offered his Madame some champagne. Playing dead was hard, but it was a necessary evil.
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) got sick as soon she woke up. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) ran to her side and tried to bring the bride-to-be around. They wondered if it was the flu or pregnancy, but Ciara knew what ailed her. The second Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) showed up, Ciara laid into her.
Ciara kicked Claire out of the wedding party, the whole event, and her entire life. Claire was crushed. She swore she was innocent but there was no use fighting back. She went home and ranted to Marlena who didn’t seem to believe her either.
Meanwhile, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) dreamed his sister came to him donning a wedding dress and told him Ciara was making a huge mistake. He would go off the rails and kill his bride one day, just like he nearly killed her. The vision left Ben so shaken he called Marlena (Deidre Hall).
Marlena assured Ben he was a different man than he was before. She also assured him he was just having pre-wedding jitters. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it. After the doc left, the visions began again and this time while Ben was awake.
To make things worse, Ciara was so bad off Hope wanted to rush her to the hospital. Ciara called Ben and tearfully told him they couldn’t get married, at least not today. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
