Days of our Lives Recap: A Failed Murder And A Hot Take

The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, December 28, 2020, features Claire unknowingly saving Ava’s life, Lucas wanting justice,  and the search beginning for Allie’s real attacker.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Charlie (Mike Manning) was moments away from killing his mom when Claire (Isabel Durant) banged on the door. She all but shouted for her boyfriend to answer. In true soap fashion, Claire could not hear any commotion going on inside the apartment, including Ava screaming. The door was a one-way noise barrier.

Claire Was Blinded By Her Crush

Charlie dragged Ava (still in the chair) to the bedroom and answered the door. Claire thanked Charlie for his gift, gave him his gift, and tried to get an invite to the bedroom. He said it was too messy and politely declined. Even a noise from the other room did not raise her radar. Charlie passed it off as the pipes acting up, faked being sick again, and sent her on her way.

An Unlikely (But Totally True) Theory

Over at the hospital, Steve (Stephen Nichols) shared his theory with John (Drake Hogestyn). Tripp was not the rapist, but a relative is. It all sounded a little too far-fetched for John. (Sure, this is far-fetched but dozens of people coming back from the dead is not?) Steve stated his case and even had a suspect in mind. John agreed to help if only to prove Tripp was lying.

Tripp Could Not Find Relief

Meanwhile, Tripp (Lucas Adams) went around town hanging up posters of his missing mama. His search was cut short by a showdown with Kate (Lauren Koslow). She was having coffee with Will (Chandler Massey) and did not take too lightly to seeing Tripp walking around. Tripp retreated to Ava’s apartment.

Steve met up with his son and updated him on the new developments. Steve and John were back to being buddies and teaming up to get to the bottom of the DNA drama. Tripp was relieved but still missing his mom.

Allie Shared Her News

Meanwhile, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) told Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Allie (Lindsey Arnold) about his failed heroics. He was desperate to make Tripp pay by any means necessary. Allie made his day by telling him about the civil suit. If they can’t hurt Tripp criminally (or with deadly methods), at least they can get the attack on record. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
