The Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, January 24, 2020, features a tissue-worthy day in Salem. Justin and Jack said goodbye to Adrienne, Kristen and Brady mourned for “their baby”, and Haley’s untimely death cut JJ like a knife.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Abigail (Kate Mansi) rushed to Haley’s (Thia Megia) side but it was already too late. She died during the fall and there was no pulse. Abby screamed for help as a stunned and dazed Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) wandered back to her room.
Goodbye, Haley
Haley was long gone when JJ (Casey Moss) arrived. Abby had to tell her brother the gut-wrenching details. JJ lost it. He stormed Kristen’s room went after her. Brady (Eric Martsolf) came in as JJ was screaming and heard the horrifying details of Haley’s death and then found out his child didn’t make it either.
JJ went to Haley and cried over her dead body. He was going to propose today and had the ring in his pocket. He loved her more than life and didn’t know how to go on.
A Mother’s Nightmare
Back in Kristen’s room, Brady came in with “their baby.” The couple held the little girl and wept as they struggled to let her go. She was Kristen’s miracle and now, she would be laying her to rest, too.
A Telling Moment
Meanwhile, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) held “her daughter.” She marveled over how different the baby looked in just the course of a few hours. She didn’t even seem like the same baby. However, Xander convinced her it was all the trauma clouding her judgment. Of course, this was her daughter.
Farewell, Adrienne
Justin (Wally Kurth) spent his final moments alone with his wife before giving her brother some space. Jack was told the awful news just moments before and rushed to be by his sister’s side. Jack’s grief was overwhelming as he reminisced about days gone by. He missed so many years with his sister only to lose her way too soon.
The Truth
Meanwhile, Sonny (Freddie Smith) received a devastating blow when Will (Chandler Massey) fessed up to everything. He took full and total responsibility for the accident and Adrienne’s death. Sonny was furious and demanded Will tell the police — which he did.
In kinda-present day, over at the prison, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) reiterated how the accident was not Will’s fault at all. He sat in shock and wondered where to go from here. Coming forward meant hurting Maggie.
