ICYMI: Days of our Lives Poll Results: Remembering Wendy the Midwife?

Before he made a miraculous recovery and became a romantic leading man on Days of our Lives, Ben once trapped Abigail in a cabin and forced her to deliver the baby Ben thought was his outside of a hospital – and without painkillers of any kind. This is how we knew that he was truly cruel and heartless.

As a follow-up, after the midwife he’d convinced to come and help delivered baby Thomas (though Ben was calling him Colin), Ben escorted her out of the cabin. And shot her.

Her name was Wendy, and she apparently had a fiancé, also in the medical field. His name was Vincent (Michael Teh). And he was not pleased about what Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) had done.

So when Eve (Kassie DePaiva) gave him a chance to get his own revenge by helping her get her revenge, Vincent signed on the dotted line (or whatever one does when promising to help commit multiple crimes). Are fans pleased to see Justice For Wendy? Or, at least, a reminder that she once existed? What almost 2,000 had to say about that:

Rest In Peace, Wendy, 58% of you wish. We remember you! You did nothing wrong! You did your job and helped Abigail (then Kate Mansi) in her hour(s) of need. Nice to know that you weren’t forgotten among all the other Necktie Killer victims who weren’t Paige. Or who didn’t come back from the dead, like Will (Chandler Massey). Oh, and your fiancé? Hot!

Wendy was so long ago, 42% of the audience laments. And she was on for what one, maybe two days? Were we supposed to get attached to her?
