Days of our Lives has just spent a year focused on baby drama, as Sarah and Eric stressed over the health of the baby they thought was theirs – well, Eric found out about six months into little Mackenzie’s life.
Meanwhile, Brady and Kristen mourned the daughter they thought they’d lost, and Xander and Victor had repeated whispered conversations about how no one could find out about how they’d switched the babies to protect Maggie. So stop talking about it in public places, guys!
At long last, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) figured out the truth, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) first ran off with Mickey, then tearfully handed her over to Kristen. Kristen ran off, and Sarah dumped Xander (Paul Telfer) – repeatedly.
Now, Lani (Sal Stowers) is pregnant. But since she’s newly married and isn’t confused about Who’s the Daddy, it’s unlikely her little bundle of joy will get much airplay. Which is why we asked fans, who would you like to see pregnant next? Over 6,000 responded:
An even 50% of you voted for Ciara (Victoria Konefal). She and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) are madly in love and about to get married. Who cares if they’re kids, and the dad-to-be is both infrequently employed and a mentally ill serial killer. Young and in love, damn it!
The universe owes Sarah a baby, 28% of Days of our Lives fans reason. And how awesome would it be if it were Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) child? He’ll have quite a decision on his hands when Kristen and Rachel stroll back into town.
