Days of our Lives fans have received bad news on top of worse news as The Powers That Be announced a series of high-profile firings. (Well, technically, it was contracts not being renegotiated, but, in the real world, it’s what we call firings.) Which character will you miss the most? We have over 5,000 devastated answers!
Oh, no, not Rafe (Galen Gering), 60% of the audience is sobbing audibly. He was just what Salem needed, a good guy not as old as John (Drake Hogysten) and Roman, yet not as young as Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Brady (Eric Martsolf).
Rafe is one of the few people who can keep Gabi (Camila Banus) somewhat under control, and he is definitely the only man who Hope (Kristian Alfonso) might still have a shot with after the Princess Gina debacle is put to bed.
Sure, JJ (Casey Moss) hasn’t had much to do since the time jump. He was sads about dead Haley (Thia Megia). He tried to kill Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) but failed at that. And then he became Lani’s (Sal Stowers) errand boy in her quest to win back Eli (Lamon Archey). But just because he’s useless doesn’t mean we want him gone, 20% of Days of our Lives fans clarify.
Will (Chandler Massey) received 13% of the vote, while Sonny (Freddie Smith) got 7%. That means that an almost equal 20% total voted for this couple, who haven’t even reunited yet — you’re not ready to see them go!
Sure, leaving around the same time does suggest a happy ending. And, as soap fans know, the only way for a couple to achieve a happily-ever-after is to never be heard from again. So maybe this is for the best.
It doesn’t mean you won’t miss them. Or feel cheated out of watching what should have been a long-drawn-out reunion. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
