Days Of Our Lives has a big Sami-sized hole in it ever since she took off for Italy with a burnt-to-a crisp-EJ. Sure, she’s returned for a few visits, proving that Alison Sweeney is open to the idea of a Salem homecoming.
But James Scott, who was the second half of the uber-popular EJami pairing, has moved on. Would fans accept a recast if it meant having the Brady-DiMera couple — and their kids — back on your screens every day? How over 5,000 voted:

Looks like it’s not EJ you love, but James Scott, as 60% of the audience is willing to take him back as any character. This actually puts a different spin on the whole procedure. Are we supposed to believe that you wouldn’t be equally as passionate about an EJ who raped Sami?
Yes, when he blackmailed her into sleeping with him in order to save Lucas‘ (Bryan Datillo) life is rape, and it makes Johnny a product of that union. How about an EJ who cheated on her with Abigail (Kate Mansi), if he weren’t played by the (very) tall and (very) handsome James Scott?

On the other hand, 40% of Days of Our Lives fans will take their EJami in any form. You are totally open to Sami coming back with a shorter, blonder, maybe not even British EJ.
This is a soap, you know how to roll with the punches. Roman (Josh Taylor) is a recast. Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is a recast. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). You get the picture.
Final Thoughts
Only 2% of you don’t want either Sami or EJ back. Those two do have a tendency to eat the show, and you’re happy with how things are now.
