Oh, Gwen, you just don’t know when to quit on Days of our Lives, do you? When you first showed up as Crazy Claire’s not-quite-as -crazy roommate, the fans actually liked you. You were funny and acerbic and full of personality, and they were happy to see you stick around.
Days of our Lives Polling
But that was then. Since then, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) went from funny and acerbic to shrewish and shrill. She whines to Jake (Brandon Barash) about getting involved in DiMera business – as she relishes living at the DiMera mansion.
She feigns concern for Abigail’s (Marci Miller) mental health – while being the cause of the problem. And her hatred for Gabi (Camila Banus) has prompted some viewers to mumble under their breaths, “It takes one to know one.”
A few months into her run, do fans still want Gwen to stick around? What over 3,000 voters told us:
Get Lost
Not anymore, if 88% of you are to be believed. Over four-fifths of the audience are counting down the days until the can see the last of Greedy Gwen. You don’t care about her and Jake, you most certainly do not want her getting between Chad and Abigail, and no other man in Salem deserves to be subjected to her warped version of love and friendship. It was nice to meet you at first, Gwen, but now you are definitely an example of less is more.
Hang Out
Only 12% went with yes, please, Gwen, take a seat and stay awhile. It’s not just that she’s a breath of fresh air with her saucy attitude, it’s that she is – as of now – not biologically related to anyone else on the canvas.
And that’s not an easy thing to do in Salem. She’s not a Horton, she’s not a Brady, she’s not a Kiriakis, a Johnson, or a DiMera. Stay, Gwen! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
