On Days of our Lives, Princess Gina Pretending To Be Hope relaxes from the stress of a 24/7 masquerade while trying to hook up with John and hope Jennifer never remembers who pushed her off a balcony and put her in a coma for a year, by doing some painting. And some talking.
So. Much. Talking. Granted, she’s primarily talking for the pleasure of hearing her own voice, speaking in an accent from no identifiable nation. But she’s pretending it’s directed at another human being. And that (questionable) human being is the one and only Stefano DiMera. But is it really?
Mock Pop
No way, an overwhelming 94% of you dismiss. That is not Stefano. Actor Joseph Mascolo passed away in 2016 and no one else could ever play the part. Including that masked guy we briefly saw a few years back. Besides, Stefano is not known for his ability to sit still, do nothing, and let others deliver his threats for him.
If he were still alive, he would be Stefano-ing all over the place, not playing sounding board for Gope (Kristian Alfonso). However, the whole ‘your wife is annoying me’ bit is very Stefano. Maybe Abigail (Kate Mansi) is what’s keeping us from setting eyes on the man.
Variation On a Theme
It might be Stefano, say 6% of the Days of our Lives more open-minded fans. But a different form of him. This is Salem, where people come back from the dead (people like Stefano), and there are drugs to make folks lose and regain their memories.
Granted, it’s not Port Charles, where a person’s entire life can be stored on a flash drive. But that’s likely only because Stefano would have long gone wireless. It really does sound like him to download his Stefano-ness into the Cloud. Then take over one — or many — bodies in order to keep living. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
