It’s been a couple of months since Days of our Lives jumped an entire year forward in town. At first, fans were intrigued, confused, betrayed, and open-minded.
But where do we all stand now? What almost 3,000 viewers said about it after some time to think:
Days of our Lives: The Hate We Give
We still hate it, 36% of you have no intention of changing your minds. All everyone does now is talk about what happened during the lost year. We don’t want to hear about it, we want to see it. (No, sepia-colored flashbacks every once in a while don’t count.)
Soaps are all about letting the story unfold day by day, and letting fans go on an emotional journey along with the characters. This isn’t a soap. This is someone recapping a soap for you.
It’s Getting Good
On the other hand, 29% of the audience is finally getting into the groove. Skipping both Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) pregnancies turbo-charged the story without having to sit through nine months of Lamaze classes, and you’re all still dying to get the full story of what happened with Will (Chandler Massey) and Adrienne (Judi Evans).
Plus, if you hate Gabi (Camila Banus) and Eli (Lamon Archey), you got to skip the shmoopy part of their falling in love – again. It’s a win for everyone!
Over It
Then there are the 18% of Days of our Lives fans who were excited in the beginning… but hate it now. You feel like you’re constantly playing catch up, and the scenes don’t make sense. You don’t like feeling stupid. This is making you feel stupid.
Long Time DAYS Fan
Finally, an almost equal 17% have loved it from the start, and are loving it now. We always complain that soaps are doing the same old thing over and over. This isn’t the same old thing. So enjoy it! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
