Just like the rest of the country, Days Of Our Lives jails must be pretty overcrowded. How else would you explain Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) sharing a prison cell with Will (Chandler Massey); with the guy he “murdered?”
Yet, they seemed to have made their peace with the situation. They’re even hitting it off, more or less. Even if Will has heard Ben’s Lament Of the Innocent Man more than once. Ben paid him back for all that listening by fingering Clyde (James Read) as the guy who stabbed him, no matter how hard Clyde tried to pin it on Ben. But how do fans feel about this unconventional friendship? Where almost 5,000 viewers stand:
For a majority 72% of the audience, it’s a plot twist worth jumping a year forward in time for. Ben and Will understand each other in a way no one else does and each can be a comfort tot he other as they deal with incarceration (unfair in Ben’s case, we still don’t know the details in Will’s). They can be each other’s talk-to, friends and the first one out gets to work on the other’s release!
Only 21% of Days of Our Lives fans find it weird. The whole, killer/victim thing. Plus, for Ben, killing was – up until very recently — a lifestyle choice. For Will it was — it had to be — an accident. You don’t want Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) baby boy picking up any bad habits from a killer. Who killed him…
A much smaller 5% doesn’t just find it weird. You find it downright creepy. Even college students get more of a say in roommates than it looks like Ben and Will did. What were the Salem Corrections folks thinking! This is a violation on Will’s civil rights! He does not deserve to be stuck between Ben and Clyde! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
