Days of our Lives Poll Results: Fans Weigh In On Justin and Kayla

They’ve been Days of our Lives family forever. Justin (Wally Kurth) was married to Adrienne (Judi Evans), while Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) was married — on and off — to Adrienne’s brother, Steve (Stephen Nichols).

But then Adrienne died. We’re still not sure how and why, though we know Will (Chandler Massey) was responsible, and he feels so guilty about it he’s serving a jail sentence and asking to divorce Sonny (Freddie Smith). And then Steve divorced Kayla — from a distance.

So what choice did Justin and Kayla have but to fall in love themselves? Salem is a very small town and the pickings are slim. But are fans on board? How over 2,000 fans feel:

A Is For Awkward, Not Adrienne

It’s so weird and awkward, 63% of Days of our Lives fans whine. They’re like siblings, but not exactly siblings. Like childhood friends. Anything except passionate lovers. We get that they’re older and their hearts have been broken multiple times. They’re not looking for blood-pounding excitement, they’re looking for companionship and happiness.

But you know what fans are not looking for? Boredom. And that’s what Justin and Kayla are offering. Boring awkwardness. The worst of both worlds.

Adrienne may be dead, but Steve is still in there somewhere. And once Stefano is chased out like the demon he is, Steve better make a beeline for his sweetness. And Justin better get out of the way!

Then again, 37% find Justin and Kayla sweet together. Love doesn’t always have to be high drama and sobbing. There is something to say for no drama, comfort, and a lack of physical danger.
