When Stacy Haiduk announced she’d be leaving Days of our Lives as Kristen, fans weren’t shy with their opinions. Then again, when are fans ever shy about their opinions, which always keeps life interesting!
Days of our Lives Polling
But in this case, considering all that Kristen has done and all that has been done to her, Soap Hub was fascinated to see what they would have to say especially in this case. So here is what almost 3,000 had to say about the unexpected departure:
Broken Home
A winning 69% aren’t feeling particularly victorious. The majority of the viewers were looking forward to seeing Kristen and Brady (Eric Martsolf) be a family with baby Rachel, once they finally got the tot back from Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). And, to be fair, you’re not sure how well Kristen will do as a single parent.
Let’s be honest, the woman is nuts. She was raised by a nut, she has done many, many nutty things, and it’s doubtful she even knows how not to be a nutty parent. Plus, when people displease Kristen, she tends to get violent. Yeah, great person to be raising a child alone.
Good Riddance
Then again, 26% of the audience has never exactly warmed up to her, and won’t miss her when she’s gone. Primarily due to all of the nutty things above. Plus, you’re not feeling particularly forgiving, or in the mood to watch her mooning over a baby that stopped her plan to steal Sarah’s straight out of her womb. Kristen is a bad person. And you’re tired of having it rubbed in that she’s all better now.
Love, Loss, and What I Wore
A smaller 5% actually will miss Kristen. This is a character you love to hate. And love to love! If all of Abigail’s (Kate Mansi) sins can be wiped away with, oh, she was upset and wasn’t herself, then why not say the same for Kristen.
Nobody raised by Stefano was bound to be in their right mind. Let’s cut her some slack, give her her baby back, and watch her coo over Rachel… and Brady. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
