Days of our Lives took a huge chance by breaking a sacrosanct soap opera rule: All events must play out in real-time. (OK, on Passions, a day could take six months… but they also had a witch and living doll, so… exception).
Days of our Lives Polling
Sure, soaps might turn one night’s party into a week of episodes, while plane flights from America to Europe can take place during a commercial break. But no one has jumped an entire year forward before… until DAYS.
So which accelerated story have fans voted their favorite? We heard from almost 4,000 viewers!
Let It Out, Lani
Lani (Sal Sowers) returned to Salem with revenge in her heart, on her mind — and on the screen. With Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and JJ’s (Casey Moss) help, she exposed Gabi (Camila Banus) on her wedding day to Eli (Lamon Archey) – poetic justice, indeed – and revealed how Gabi threatened Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) life and drove Lani out of town. Salem was shocked, Lani vindicated, and 68% of the audience, most pleased.
Maybe Baby
There was a huge drop in popularity as only 19% of you picked the baby switch as your fave. Xander (Paul Telfer) and Victor (John Aniston) switched Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen’s living tot for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) dead one in order to protect Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) from learning the consequences of her drunken driving actions. And the majority of you are not amused.
Jailhouse Rock
An even smaller 12% are amused with Will (Chandler Massey) being in jail for Maggie’s role in the death of Adrienne (Judi Evans), while Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) sits on death row for killing Jordan. Both young men are innocent, both have people who love them, and both need a pardon — pronto!
Two-Faced
Nobody cares about Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) and SteVano (Stephen Nichols). Seriously, like, 1% give a damn. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
