Days of our Lives had a heck of a year! Well, two of them technically, since unless the show has always been a year behind, we are now in December of 2020 in Salem. Can they give us stock tips? Election spoilers?
So, for this best of the year round-up, we are actually looking at two years worth of story, not just one — even if half of it happened off-screen. Which story did fans pick as their favorite? Read on, below:
For a majority 54% of you, Gabi (Camila Banus) setting out to trick Stefan (Brandon Barash) into falling in love with her and then taking him for all he was worth — only to end up falling in love with him herself, was the highlight of 2019. So, in the face of that, uh… why was he killed off so unceremoniously?
While 23% of the audience voted for the Eric/Sarah/Xander triangle, we’ve got to ask… was it really a triangle? Xander (Paul Telfer) had an unrequited crush on Sarah (Linsay Godfrey) while she was madly in love with Eric (Greg Vaughan) and gave Xander no time of day — the sex didn’t count, that was while Sarah was mad at Rex (Kyle Lowder).
Then, after Eric dumped Sarah for back-from-the-dead Nicole (Arianne Zucker), Xander stepped up and pretended to be baby Mickey’s daddy. But, considering the popularity of this triangle that wasn’t even really a full triangle… why are Sarah and Eric leaving town?
Only 13% of Days of our Lives fans voted for the time jump that got us all where we are today. The lack of enthusiasm doesn’t mean it can’t be undone… or does it?
An even smaller 10% preferred Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) pretending to be Nicole. Let’s not speak of it again. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
