Days of our Lives is still calling Allie’s newborn Baby Boy Horton. It’s kind of catchy. They can call him BB (Bibby? Bobby?). Or Hort. Or Tony (give it a minute, you’ll figure it out).
Days of our Lives Polling
He can always claim he was named after Horton Hears A Who. But just in case none of those stick, here are more traditional suggestions from almost 2,000 fans:
Will He or Won’t He?
A majority 82% of you went with William, after Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) great-grandfather Bill, who just died (you remember, Abigail, Jack, and Jennifer went to Africa for his funeral). It may be the most popular choice, but it’s problematic. First, did Allie even know Bill? Heck, did Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) ever lay eyes on him?
Second, Allie already has a brother named William. Just because Will (Chandler Massey) is out of sight, doesn’t mean he’s out of mind. Will wasn’t named after Great-Grandpa Bill. He was named after his aunt Billie (Wilhemina). So for a family that already has a Bill, a Will, and a Billie, do they really need to throw another namesake in the mix?
Remember Me
Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) may have lost the right to bring little Horty home, but there is no guarantee it will stay that way. Sami (Alison Sweeney) may have had a lot of tricks up her sleeve. But wouldn’t it be awesome if Nicole got the last laugh, 13% muse, and legally names the tot Nicholas, after herself? So Sami will always remember her.
Sam I Am
Of course, if 5% of the audience knows Sami, she’ll have the name changed to Samuel, just to prove a point. That’s just what the world – and Salem in particular – needs, another Sammy on the loose.
Of course, there is also the silent majority that believes Allie’s baby will be named after his father… Fourth (give it a minute, you’ll figure it out.) Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
