The Daytime Emmys were a different experience this year as all nominees pre-taped acceptance speeches and we didn’t get to see their genuine joy when they won. Thankfully, social media can take care of that and Days of Our Lives star Olivia Rose Keegan has made sure we could see her celebration after taking home the gold for Outstanding Younger Performer In A Drama Series.
Congratulations, Olivia Rose Keegan
While Keegan admitted to Soap Hub that she missed the red carpet experience, that didn’t stop her from dressing up and celebrating.
“We threw one heck of a part [at my house]. I got all dressed up. My dad wore the same suit he wore at his wedding. My mom got dressed up. It was a magical evening. We threw ourselves a quarantine party!”
The young actress who plays the cunning (and maybe still) crazy Claire on DAYS has the video to prove it, complete with the Jewish celebratory tradition of dancing the Hora (to the tune of Hava Nagila) with the guest of honor lifted high up on a chair.
You’ll see the moment Keegan learned she won and the actress celebrating with both of her parents and other family members. (FYI, her folks want her to keep the Emmy in the living room for all to see, but she wants it to stay in her bedroom.)
Keegan made her Days of Our Lives comeback in June when Claire managed to convince Grandma Marlena to help spring her from Bayview, the mental health facility where she spent nearly two years (in Salem time). While she claims she is healthy now, there’s still some doubt as Claire remains a bit cagey and still seems to seethe with jealousy when she is around Ciara (Victoria Konefal).
Soap Hub is thrilled to have her back on screen and sends the young actress congratulations on her big Emmy win. You can see the moment she won in the Instagram post below. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
