It feels like we just saw her tearfully run off with Baby Rachel on Days of Our Lives and go into hiding. Now, Stacy Haiduk is bringing Kristen back to Salem.
Welcome Back, Stacy Haiduk
According to the June 30, 2020 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Kristen sneaks back into Salem in her nun habit to visit BFF Lani before her wedding. She’s shocked to learn Brady and Victor are now claiming she did NOT stab Victor, but Lani knows the truth so Kristen feels she needs to stay on the run.
Haiduk tells Digest that this is just a quick visit and she was away from the DAYS set for about five weeks before filming these scenes. Many fans were devastated when Kristen left because they were rooting for her and Brady after the character actually started becoming sympathetic.
Haiduk took over the role of Kristen in 2018 from Eileen Davidson when she made an appearance at John and Marlena’s wedding. She’s also played the character’s doppelganger, Susan. In 2019, Kristen returned again, this time in a Nicole mask and it was when Brady thought she was Nicole that Baby Rachel was conceived.
All was forgiven by the time Salem jumped in time a year and Kristen was in a convent in Rome after believing her daughter was dead and accidentally killing JJ’s girlfriend, Haley.
Will Kristen ever return for good one day so she and Brady can be a family with their daughter? Stay tuned to find out.
Days of our Lives History
DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
Bringing the Drama
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
