Shawn Christian, who last popped up as Days of our Lives’ Dr. Daniel Jonas on April 1 in a special dream sequence, enjoyed a special Father’s Day as he watched his daughter—actress Taylor Cole—marry producer Cameron Larson.
Congratulations to Shawn Christian
“This was the greatest FATHERS DAY gift!” he posted on Instagram, along with a video of the special occasion. “My daughter’s WEDDING DAY! So this happened last night…🎩👰”
Cole is Christian’s stepdaughter from his marriage to Deborah Quinn, and he was lucky enough to share the screen with his kid for the television series Summerland and the Hallmark Channel film, Ruby Herring Mysteries: Silent Witness.
Summerland was actually Cole’s foray into acting, as she was simply visiting Christian on-set and made a huge impression.
Watching her get married, Christian noted, is a day he will never forget and he wants everyone to know how he couldn’t have asked for a better Father’s Day present.
“To see and feel the spark of your daughter’s storybook love on her Wedding Day has ignited memories for a lifetime,” Christian said. “SO PROUD of the amazing young lady you have blossomed into. You’re the perfect gentleman for her Cameron. Blessed to call you family. I will be gushing for quite some time so bear with me…”
Christian watched the wedding virtually because that’s how things are done in the age of COVID-19 and enjoyed a sushi dinner for the occasion.
“This is how you watch your daughter’s VIRTUAL WEDDING amidst the current climate,” Christian wrote in an Instagram post with a video of the ceremony on his laptop.
The actor who was part of Salem’s canvas from 2008-2016, meeting his long-time partner Arianne Zucker (Nicole) on the set, most recently worked on the thriller U.Z.L.A, which is slated to be released next year.
Although Daniel has popped up a few times as a ghost or in a dream scenario since his DAYS departure, considering the character’s heart is currently beating in Brady, that’s probably the only way Christian will be back in any possible future appearances.
