Days of our Lives News Update: Kassie DePaiva Celebrates Six Years as Eve Donovan

The character had been off the canvas for a few months now but soap hopper Kassie DePaiva infused the role of Eve Donovan with new life. Believe it or not, the actress made her debut in Salem six years ago!

“I can’t believe it’s been 6 years,” posted DePaiva in response to twitter account @EvackEvermore noting her anniversary. “Where does the time go? @nbcdays #days.”

Prior to playing Eve, DePaiva was best known for her Daytime Emmy-nominated run as Blair on One Life to Live. Unless, of course, you’re a Guiding Light fan and then, you know DePaiva for her turn as songbird Chelsea Reardon on the beloved CBS serial.

Chelsea had romances with Phillip (Grant Aleksander) and Johnny (James Goodwin) before going off to England to work on her music. A few years later, the actress debuted as Blair, who had a long-term romance with both Todd (Roger Howarth) and his twin Victor (Trevor St. John), who was believed to be Todd for many years.

Next, Kassie DePaiva traveled to the West Coast taking on the role of Eve on Days of our Lives, the longtime nemesis of Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). In a scandalous twist, Eve ended up bedding JJ (Casey Moss), Jennifer’s son when he was dating Eve’s daughter, the ill-fated Paige (True O’Brien). DePaiva’s heartbreaking performances as grieving mother Eve following Paige’s murder earned the actress a Daytime Emmy nomination.

There’s more to come! Earlier this year, DePaiva revealed on The Locher Room that she was headed back to DAYS this summer. She’s rumored to be on-screen in Salem next month and also in August. Stay tuned for details on how Eve will return to the story canvas.
