Days of our Lives News Update: Judi Evans Talks To Good Morning America

In these times where life doesn’t seem to be fair for so many around the country, it has truly been especially harsh for Days of our Lives star Judi Evans, who has been through so much over the last six months. Now the actress gives an interview from her hospital bed as she continues to recover from a fall and a battle against COVID-19.

Judi Evans Speaks Out

The beloved Daytime Emmy-winning star, who has played both Adrienne and Bonnie on the NBC soap, spoke to the early-airing show, Good Morning America, during a segment about the coronavirus and what has continued happening around the country. Her part of the clip below begins at the 2:30 mark.

“My fever started spiking. I said, ‘You know, can we test me for COVID’ because they had taken me down a few times for tests without a mask on. They did, and it came back positive,” she revealed.

As Soap Hub reported yesterday, Evans has been dealing with blood clots in her legs, which COVID is known for also causing in its patients. Evans had already undergone surgery to deal with those in her legs after a fall off a horse revealed their presence.

Her publicist, Howie Simon, shared that surgery was even more painful — and unnecessarily so. “On top of everything, when she went into surgery on one of her legs, they forget to numb the leg and cut into her leg while she was fully conscience with no numbing of the area!”

Evans, who also created the roles of Beth Raines on Guiding Light and Maeve on As the World Turns, and took over the role of Paulina on Another World, is hoping to continue to test negative so that she can finish her recuperating at home. She appreciates that fans are keeping her in their thoughts.
