As Days of our Lives prepares Abby Deveraux DiMera’s latest sendoff from Salem, her family with Chad is about to get a boost. The role of their son Thomas will now be played by Cary Christopher. While he may be young, he already has an impressive resume.

The news was announced on the Jason47 DAYS Website and included the announcement from the young actor’s talent agency of his booking a new role, which will have him working with Billy Flynn (Chad).
“Cary Christopher has booked ANOTHER recurring role – this time on a confidential NBC show! At just four years old, he has an impressive resume! Huge congrats, Cary! We are excited to part of your journey!

Some of the other impressive roles this young thespian has under his belt include appearances on Fuller House, 9-1-1, and the TV movie Culture Clash with Lea Thompson (Back to the Future), as well as the entire run as one of the Anderson kids on the TV version of Mr. Mom.
It doesn’t seem like acting is his only interest either — as the young man has a musical side and wants to learn how to play the guitar. His Twitter account shared a video of him playing (and singing) the Beatles classic, I Saw Her Standing There, saying, “I put on a lot of concerts for my Jack Russell Terrier and family.”
Chad and Abby’s son hasn’t been heard from much since they returned to Salem after living in Paris. Hopefully, with the casting of Christopher, the show will be putting some focus on Chad as he tries to navigate raising his children while keeping DiMera away from Gabi (Camila Banus). Will he be able to do both well? Stay tuned. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
