Days of our Lives News: Marci Miller Marks Salem Return With Hot Shot

As Days of our Lives fans know, Marci Miller made her triumphant return to the role of Abigail Deveraux DiMera on Friday — the role she played between 2016 to 2018 that netted her two back-to-back Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress — and the actress used a hot shot to mark the special day.

The game of chess has been pivotal over the years for the DiMera clan, especially Abby’s husband Chad (Billy Flynn) and his father, Stefano DiMera (played by the late great Joe Mascolo). So it seems fitting that the actress would use the game as a background for the Instagram photo she shared below.

In the caption accompanying the pix she shared on Friday, she wrote, “Today’s the day. Abigail, round 2. #Dimera #ChessTeam #Days @nbcdays PC: @marissadela MU: @makeupbymzlulu.”

In the story, Abigail returns just as Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is laying it on thick with Chad, wanting to let the DiMera heir know that she would be open to starting something with him now that her true love Jake (Brandon Barash) had tossed her aside because of his attraction for his dead twin’s widow, Gabi (Camila Banus).

Through Chad’s talk with Kate (Lauren Koslow), we learn that Abby isn’t expected to be released from her mental health care facility for a few more months because she’s still learning to control the hallucinations she’s experiencing after being poisoned. Uh oh — Abby escaped a little early. So needless to say, anything can happen!

Several of Miller’s co-stars commented on her post using lots of fire emojis, letting her know how hot they found the image — including Victoria Konefal (Ciara), Lucas Adams (Tripp), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), and super close pal Sal Stowers (Lani) who wrote, “My girl 😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
