Earlier this week, Chrishell Stause was doing the tango on Dancing With the Stars and the ex-Days of our Lives (Jordan Ridgeway) actress wowed the judges with her performance, teaming with Gleb Savchenko to the music of Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.”
The dance was even more impressive when you consider that the soap veteran—she also played Amanda on All My Children and Bethany on The Young and the Restless—had memories of her mom on her mind. Stause posted a loving tribute to her mom this week on her Instagram page.
“My beautiful mom would have been 62 today,” she wrote beside a lovely photo of her with her mom. “Today I am going to try and celebrate her like I know she would want. I miss her an immeasurable amount but am so grateful she has made it very known she is still very much around me. Happy Birthday Mom. Would give anything to be able to tell you that. You know how much I love you.”
The actress also posted a photo with her alongside her DWTS partner, who happens to share a birthday with her mom. Stause wrote that the day had been looming since she lost her mom in July but knows that she would have been so thrilled with her doing the show alongside Savchenko.
“I knew my mom would have been the 1st person to urge me to do Dancing With The Stars – she would have told me I would be the best one even though that is far from true,” Stause said. “She has sent me so many signs letting me know she is still with me and I feel like knowing how much I was dreading today, it seems to have her touch on it that I am paired with [Savchenko] whose birthday is also today.”
Furthermore, she had a fun time celebrating the special day and believes that’s what her mom would have wanted. “Sorry to be overly sentimental today, but I believe in signs and wanted to share,” she wrote. “Happiest birthday to two of the best!” Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
