Days of Our Lives fans have loved having Claire’s parents, Shawn and Belle, back in town… and now it looks like at least Shawn will be there for a while longer. Actor Brandon Beemer recently revealed some welcome news that should make viewers very happy.
Brandon Beemer Reveals More Episodes
During an interview with Digital Journal, the handsome actor discussed his time on the NBC soap opera, letting fans know that he will be joining the rest of the cast when production resumes on September 1st.
Speaking to the online journal, Beemer expressed his elation about the return: “I just got some of my scripts that I will be shooting on Days of our Lives, so I am really happy about that. We are the only daytime show that has never had to air a re-run.”
The long-running drama’s advanced schedule is one of the many reasons why show-runners have been able to take their time with the return… and in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the safety of the cast and crew has remained a top priority.
While Beemer has confirmed his return to the set, details about the fate of his onscreen partner have been kept under wraps.
Martha Madison has also been back on-screen as Belle this summer, and now her former love Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) has returned to Salem… so it would make sense for Belle to be sticking around, too. Both she and Shawn have their hands full with their daughter Claire (now played by Isabel Durant). Other family issues also abound.
Kristian Alfonso will be leaving the role of Hope, Shawn’s mother, and Belle’s father John (Drake Hogestyn) just had a medical event on Tuesday’s episode, meaning that Belle has every reason to stick around. What will happen next? Stay tuned. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
