While it might be Throwback Thursday today, yesterday found Days of our Lives star Lauren Koslow celebrating Wayback Wednesday, as she shared a poignant old video of Kate and Roman, along with a behind-the-scenes tidbit about what was really going on when they shot this particular scene.
As longtime fans may recall, there was a time that Kate and Roman were in love and even married. But things didn’t last and actor Josh Taylor had to leave the show. The actress shared the sweet “ghost dance” scene the two had and let us know what was really going on at the time, starting off with a Kahlil Gibran quote.
“Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation,” goes the quote. It allowed Koslow to dive into what she really wanted to share with her followers.
“#waybackwednesday to Kate & Roman’s #Kaman ghost dance — I cried thru blocking, rehearsals, taping of the scene & the off-camera goodbyes to #joshtaylor,” she wrote in the caption. But that wasn’t all she had to say.
“Their #lovestory was challenging & bittersweet to the end. Happily Josh returned to the show but roman & Kate lost their moment in time #lovestory #daytime #drama #daysofourlives #storytelling #love #classicdays #kozquotes #instamood”
But did they really lose their moment in time? Surely, if the DAYS writers wanted to reunite the couple, they could do so pretty easily if they really wanted to. Roman seems to be warming up to Hattie (Deidre Hall), who is good pals now with Kate so that could make for an interesting triangle.
Sure, Kate is in a bit of a legal mess at the moment after not telling anyone that the essence of Stefano was back and locked inside poor Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) body.
But surely if Gabi (Camila Banus) can get off for attempted murder after revealing it to an entire room, Kate can be forgiven for keeping a secret, right? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
