While Kate Mansi’s return to Days of Our Lives as Abigail isn’t for a few months yet, she still has a great reason to celebrate!
Mansi was born on September 15, 1987 in Calabasas, California, which means she will be turning 31 on Saturday! She grew up as the middle child in a large Italian/Irish family and began dance training at a very young age — in both New York and Los Angeles.
While in high school, Mansi also became interested in acting. She studied film and public relations while attending Pepperdine University in Malibu.
In 2007, she came in second place during the National Womack Speech competition, and in 2008, she traveled to the Dominican Republic and Haiti to volunteer with Orphanage Outreach.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine, Mansi focused on her acting career. She scored an early success, guesting on the primetime hit How I Met Your Mother.
But it was landing the role of Abigail on Days of Our Lives in 2011 that really changed her life.
She stayed with the show until 2016, winning an Outstanding Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy on her way out the door. She’s slated to return this December after Marci Miller exits the role, but it’s only a short-term stay.
During her time away, Mansi stayed busy. She appeared in several TV movies including Unwanted Guest, Boyfriend Killer, Maternal Secrets, and Nightclub Secrets.
