We’re not sure if we can call what happened between Eric and Jennifer last year on Days of Our Lives a romance, but it was…something.
Yes, the pair shared one passionate night together, but it was a drunken, drugged-up night that neither one planned and then Eric (Greg Vaughan) was shipped off to prison for driving drunk and killing Daniel in the process.
Now, Eric is free, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) is clean, and she hasn’t had a man since she last saw Eric. Of course, Eric is also doing his best to keep Hope alive, and next week he risks all to get her the help she needs.
That risk brings him to the hospital where he steals meds for Hope (Kristian Alfonso). While on this mission, he also comes face-to-face with Jennifer, who will become the only person aside from Hope who knows he’s free.
According to the February 6 issue of Soap Opera Digest, the two are pretty shell-shocked to see each other.
“It’s a very poignant moment because this is the first time that Eric and Jennifer have seen each other since he left for prison,” actor Greg Vaughan told Digest. “There is also a sense of a deer caught in the headlights. It’s an awkward situation.”

Does this mean DAYS plans to have these two pick up where they left off last winter? It can’t be a coincidence that the writers chose Jennifer to know he’s free and keep it all to herself.
