Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap: Sami Tries To Save Lucas’s Life!

The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, December 8 features a day of tough love as Sami lays it out there to try to get Lucas to fight for his life.

Tough Love Sami Style
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) made sure Sami (Alison Sweeney) was called when he was arrested after rolling his car three times. She let him have it, swearing when she’s done with him he’ll never do something that stupid again. She told him to sober up, suck it up, and be a father to their kids.

She wanted him sober so he can help her get Will (Chandler Massey) to accept her and to be there for him. Lucas feared he doesn’t have it in him to get sober again. She tried to get him to see how needed he is and to pull it together. She insisted he not drink today. Just try.

Sami told him to lean on people who love him. She handed him her phone and said to call one of them. He called Aunt Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), who came immediately and promised to help.

A Second Chance
Eric (Greg Vaughan) told Will about Sami walking in on Marlena cheating on their dad. In describing the aftermath, Will realized it sounded like what Paul said Will had done. Then Eric told him that he shot EJ and Lucas took the blame, which blew Will’s mind.

But Will admitted he feared that if he gives Sami an inch, she’d smother him. Eric suggested he tell her that, and he asked him to give Sami a chance. Will took his advice and went to go see Sami.

Down in the Dumps
Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and Maggie clashed over the decorations in the Kiriakis mansion. Maggie wondered why she doesn’t buy her own place.

Eve let her know she changed her mind after Brady and Victor messed with her. Besides, she wanted to be able to see Tate anytime she wants. Maggie warned Eve she could lose it all.

Something’s Fishy
Brady (Eric Martsolf) visited Paul (Christopher Sean) and asked him to dig up dirt on Eve. Paul updated him about Sonny and Will, including the kiss. They commiserated over their failed love lives. Later, Eve caught Brady drinking but hid in the shadows, keeping quiet….for now.

Victor (John Aniston) asked Sonny for an update on Will and then yelled at him for dumping a good man for a mama’s boy like Will.

Victor’s obviously Team Paul and warns Sonny he should divorce Will. His decision to dump Paul for Will has Victor doubting Sonny’s decision making so he and may face a demotion.
