Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives ? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.
The week of March 4, 2019
Daytime veteran Robin Strasser is officially joining the Salem fold. The soap is keeping all information about her character and how she’ll be involved in plot hush-hush. The only details being shared is that she’ll begin airing this summer.
Strasser has an impressive resume of daytime credits, dating back to her role as the original Rachel on Another World (1967 to 1972). She is best known, however, for her role as Dorian Lord on One Life to Live, which she played on and off from 1979 to 2013. Her last soap stint was as Hecuba on Passions (2000 to 2003).
Meanwhile, there’s an update on Arianne Zucker’s return to the soap. The actress is back on set filming scenes. She was “killed off” as Nicole Walker in October of 2018.
