Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of November 23, 2020
Two big returns are on the horizon and they’re of the “sibling” variety. Camila Banus is back as Gabi Hernandez on Friday, November 27. Look for the character to immediately be on a mission to reunite with Jake (Brandon Barash).

Galen Gering is also heading home to Salem as Rafe Hernandez. He’ll make his first appearance on Friday, November 27 in scenes with Josh Taylor’s Roman.

Banus and Gering both exited DAYS on Friday, August 28, when their characters split town with their father Eduardo (A Martinez), who warned they were in grave danger. Apparently, that danger has since been neutralized.

Meanwhile, on the exit front, Heather Lindell is wrapping up her run as Belle’s (Martha Madison) nemesis, Jan Spears. She makes her final appearance on Tuesday, November 24.

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
