Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of October 19, 2020

Good news for “Cin” fans. Victoria Konefal pops back in as Ciara Brady, this week, although it’s just for a quick “visit.” Look for the actress to share scenes with Robert Scott Wilson’s Ben, when Ciara makes a ghostly appearance to her beloved husband on Tuesday, October 20.

There’s trouble ahead for the citizens of Salem when two Statesville inmates break out of prison. George DelHoyo is back as the dastardly Orpheus, and James Read returns as Clyde Weston on Tuesday, October 20.

Will Utay clocks back in as Dr. Wilhelm Rolf on Tuesday, October 20 in scenes with some residents at the DiMera mansion.

Melissa Reeves, who opted not to return to DAYS when the soap resumed production in September, made her last appearance as Jennifer Horton Deveraux on Tuesday, October 13. Soap vet Cady McClain takes over the role this week.

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
