Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.
The week of May 13, 2019
It’s a big week for Salem returns – four of them, to be exact. Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi, who exited the soap as Chad and Abigail DiMera after their characters exchanged “I Do’s” in February, are reportedly back on set taping scenes. The pair will be back onscreen sometime this fall.
Also heading back to the canvas is Thaao Penghlis. He shared the happy news with fans via Instagram, noting that he’ll be returning to the screen in July. “But is it Tony or Andre,” he added cryptically. Viewers will have to wait to find out which DiMera surfaces. Joining Penghlis will be Leann Hunley as Tony’s widow, Anna DiMera. She’ll begin airing in July, too.
