The week of January 20, 2020
Marie Wilson is back on the scene as Summer Townsend, Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) daughter. She returns to Salem to visit her mother on Tuesday, January 21. Wilson made her last appearance on the show in 2016.
Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley pop in as Tony and Anna DiMera on Tuesday, January 21, after a lengthy absence.

Meanwhile, a pair of leading ladies end their run on the soap, this week. Judi Evans exits as Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis, when her character is abruptly killed. Evans first debuted as Adrienne way back in 1986.
Thia Megia also wraps up her run as Haley Chen, when her character meets her demise during an altercation with Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen. Megia joined the soap in 2018.
Days of our Lives History
DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
Bringing the Drama
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
