Days of our Lives Comings And Goings News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of Our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of Our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The Week of October 21, 2019

After six-and-a-half years as Will (Chandler Massey) and Gabi’s (Camila Banus) daughter, Arianna Horton — a gig they’ve held since they were infants, twins Harper and Sydnee Udell are exiting the soap. The role has been recast, although there’s no word on who’s landed it, yet.

The twins shared the news on social media, noting that while they were leaving “with a sad heart,” having been “blessed” with the role “for so long has been a dream.” The girls added that they “wish nothing but the best for the entire cast and crew” and thanked their fans for their “love and support” over the years.

After a lengthy absence, Judi Evans returns as Adrienne Kiriakis on Wednesday, October 23. Look for her character to reconnect with Matthew Ashford’s Jack, now that he finally has his memory back.

Also popping up on Wednesday, October 23 is Wally Kurth as Justin Kirkiakis. He’ll share a surprise romantic moment with Evans’ Adrienne. Also, Bryan Dattilo has left town as Lucas Horton, now that Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) have both recovered from their medical crises.

Days of Our Lives History

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and the longest-running of the daytime soap operas still on the air. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines has kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

DOOL’s Salem Drama Unleashed

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
