First came the news that Jackee Harry would be joining the soap as a new mystery woman named Paulina. Now comes word that the character will have a daughter named Chanel, and actress Precious Way will be tackling the role.
Way’s credits include a co-starring role opposite rap legend MC Lyte in Partners in Rhyme, an upcoming sitcom on AMC Networks’ streamer UMC. She’s also a successful rapper, who is best known for her single Watch Me Go. Look for the mother-daughter duo to arrive in Salem, next month.
Victoria Platt has wrapped up her run as baby-snatching doctor, Amanda Raynor. She made her final appearance on February 3.
DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
