Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite
performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of July 6, 2020

Judi Evans, who last aired as Adrienne Kiriakis in May, when the character was killed in a car crash, is back in another familiar role: Bonnie Lockhart. She makes her first appearance on Wednesday, July 8 in scenes with Wally Kurth’s Justin. Bonnie was last seen in November 2018, at which point she was sent back to Statesville Prison.

Meanwhile, on the exit front, the trio of special guests who attended Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli’s (Lamon Archey) nuptials have all wrapped up their stints on the soap. Namely, Marilyn McCoo as Lani’s mom, Tamara Price; Vanessa Williams as Eli’s mother, Valerie Grant; and Billy Davis, Jr. as Billy, Eli’s old FBI mentor.

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
