The revolving door at Days of our Lives continues to spin. The latest cast member to depart the NBC serial is Victoria Konefal, but this time there’s a twist to the tale.
Victoria Konefal Exiting DAYS
Deadline reports that while Konefal is leaving the show as a full time cast member, she may make appearances on DAYS in the future. Soap Hub had reported on the rumor but now it has been confirmed.
“I cherish every moment I have spent working on Days of our Lives,” Konefal said. “It is an honor and a privilege to work in an environment filled with so much talent and passion in every direction.
“The experience and knowledge I’ve accumulated over the past three years is irreplaceable, and I’m forever grateful for it. I would love the opportunity to continue working with my castmates in the future, but at this time I will not be returning as a full-time cast member.
“To the cast and crew, it was an absolute pleasure working with you,” the Daytime Emmy-nominated star adds. “To the loving and unwaveringly supportive fans, thank you. Thank you for joining me on my journey of finding Ciara Brady. It was a beautiful one. Cheers to some of the best days of my life.”
Head writer Ron Carlivati responded to the news on Twitter by saying, “Best wishes to the lovely and talented @victoriakonefal as she takes the next step in her career. We sincerely hope you will come visit Salem one of these days, Victoria! #days”
The actress joined the show in 2017 as the daughter of legendary supercouple Bo and Hope Brady (played by Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso). Konefal became part of a supercouple herself when she was paired with Robert Scott Wilson, who plays Ben.
This week, the couple’s wedding has been airing. Konefal has already taped her final episode as a full-time cast member. DAYS is set to return to production on September 1.
DAYS was created by Irna Phillips, Ted Corday, and Allan Chase. Ken Corday is the show’s executive producer. Albert Alarr serves as co-executive producer. Ron Carlivati is head writer. Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
