Veteran soap star Kassie DePaiva has been beloved in her many soap roles all across the dial and is still just as busy as ever as she’s currently celebrating a major milestone.
That’s because she was born on March 21, 1961, in Morganfield, Kentucky, which means that this talented actress is turning 63 years old today! DePaiva’s early career triumphs were due to her vocal talents, but she eventually turned her attention towards one in acting.
Her first role was Chelsea Reardon on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light, which she held from October 1986 to January 1991. During her tenure with the venerable show, DePaiva also appeared in the horror-comedy Evil Dead 2 as Bobby Joe.
In 1993, DePaiva was tapped to replace actress Mia Korf in the part of Blair Cramer, a pivotal One Life to Live character. She would remain in the role until that series’s final episode 20 years later, earning herself a new legion of fans who loved her character’s on/off relationship with Todd Manning (Roger Howarth).
After reprising the Blair Cramer character on OLTL’s sister show General Hospital, DePaiva debuted on NBC’s Days of our Lives, taking over the role of schemer Eve Donovan. She played her — off and on — ever since, though Eve is currently away from Salem.
DePaiva’s other credits include guest spots on episodes of Time Trax, Melrose Place, Baywatch, and Castle. She also appeared in the film We Are What We Are and the short feature Exit.
The actress is married to her former OLTL co-star James DePaiva (ex-Max; ex-Dr. David Bensch, GH) and they have a son, James Quentin, who goes by the name JQ.
Soap Hub would like to wish Kassie DePaiva a very happy birthday. You can do so by clicking on the X (formerly Twitter) link below.
