The world of sociopath Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is going to get a lot bigger in season 3 of the Netflix psychological thriller, You, and Days of our Lives fans will be seeing a familiar face when the show returns in 2021. Christopher Sean, who played John’s son Paul on DAYS for four years, last seen in Salem in 2018, is joining You in a recurring role.
New Gig For Christopher Sean
According to Deadline, Sean is among a bevy of actors who will take part in Season 3, as the show examines what happens when Joe and Love (Victoria Pedretti) settle down in California.
Sean will play Brandon, a tech investor who struck it rich in his mid-20s and now is a stay-at-home dad. He and his wife, Kiki (Shannon Chan-Kent) befriend Joe and Love and will most likely play into whatever obsession Joe has going on in his life this season.
Since leaving DAYS, Sean has voiced Kazuda Xiono on Star Wars Resistance and has contributed voice work to video games such as Marvel’s Avengers and Ghost of Tsushima.
You’s Joe hasn’t had a lot of friends since the series began—at least anyone older than 18 or someone he’s plotting to do away with—so it will be interesting to see what will happen when he’s forced into a friendship with Brandon when their wives get close. Will he get comfortable enough around him that he’ll confide in some deep dark secrets?
Also joining Season 3 of the show as series regulars are Mozart in the Jungle’s Saffron Burrows, Dylan Arnold, and Tati Gabrielle. Meanwhile, One Tree Hill’s Michaela McManus, Ben Mehl, Chris O’Shea, Bryan Safi, Mackenzie Astin, Ayelet Zurer, and Jack Fisher will all appear in recurring roles.
Since Sean’s part is recurring, perhaps he’ll be popping up back on DAYS sometime in 2021, as John could use a visit from his son with all that’s happening around him. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
