It’s been quite a week on Days of Our Lives, week with plenty of action courtesy of the Terrible Trio.
The Good
Orpheus (George DelHoyo) decided to lead his pack of evildoers over to the Johnson house and take Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Joey (James Lastovic) hostage. When Steve (Stephen Nichols) happened on the scene, his fear was palpable — they were threatening all that he loved in the world – his family. After delivering some funny quips, he made his move and ended up saving Kayla, getting thanked with lots of kisses (yay!). Unfortunately, when the dust cleared – they still have Joey.
Also good – or dare we say hot – is the chemistry between Philip and Chloe (darn that he’s leaving!). Also, it was wonderful to see during the crisis that Brady (Eric Martsolf) remembered – and mentioned — that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is his best friend.
The Bad
There were a couple of missed opportunities, starting with Orpheus and the whole Roman/John mistaken identity thing. His original beef was with Roman (Josh Taylor), but when he ended up going after John and Marlena – that is when everyone still thought John was really Roman. How funny would it have been to see Orpheus updated about that particular piece of information? Next one – why hasn’t Andre (Thaao Penghlis) gotten mixed up with the Terrible Trio? How fun would that be to see him trying to control them? Lastly, we’re with Justin (Wally Kurth) – we’re sad Eve (Kassie DePaiva) isn’t sticking around to see if their good times could become more.
The Ugly
Sure, we know teenagers can be pains in the butt as they try to exploit boundaries while finding their way through their crazy hormonal years. But come on, Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) — giving your family the slip and giving everyone more to worry about. That just wasn’t cool! Then, there was Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) forcing Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) to get a paternity test. Obsessed much?! Granted he could be right but still… how do you think you’re making Nicole feel? On the bright side, it gave us a deliciously fun conversation in which Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) asked his scheming mother Kate (Lauren Koslow) to help them change the results. Again – why do we have to lose Philip?!?
