Like any soap, Days of Our Lives (DOOL) has good and bad guys, but did you know one of these actors played a really bad guy that drew the ire of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
It’s not like Salem hasn’t seen its share of other-worldly criminals. Certainly The Phoenix (the late Joe Mascolo) rising a dozen times or so (along with his progeny) has certainly kept those on the right side of the law quite busy over the years.
But one of these actors has had to face even worse… as a bad guy on the butt-kicking drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Which one was it?
Paul Telfer
Telfer sets hearts aflutter offscreen even if Xander makes hearts race for a different reason in Salem as he scares those around him. The actor actually has dealt with vampires… but on a different show, The Vampire Diaries. Close… but not quite who we are looking for at this particular time.
Gilles Marini
He’s playing the ultimate bad guy in Ted while on DAYS, but Marini hasn’t battled vampires. However, he did have to deal with the supernatural in the TV show Teen Wolf, where he had a recurring role. Alas, while he may have dealt with the teen set, it wasn’t the Scooby gang from Buffy.
Eric Martsolf
Martsolf has been towing both bad and good as Brady on DAYS this past year, but that’s about as far as it goes towards the bad. He recently played a hilarious father in the movie To The Beat! that was ruled by his young daughter. While the character would have slayed any vampire or dragon for his little girl, her name certainly wasn’t Buffy.
Greg Vaughan
Hard to believe that guy who plays squeaky clean ex-priest Eric could possibly have played a horrible frat boy who was looking to cause trouble on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but yep, he’s the one! Vaughan played Richard on the cult show. Of course, he made up for his dirty deeds by playing the ultimate good guy, Dan, on Charmed.
